Day 01

Arrival / Colombo
Welcome to Sri Lanka! Arrive in Colombo and settle into your hotel, preparing for an adventure into the island’s rich cultural heritage.

Day 02

Colombo / Kandy
Travel to Kandy, the cultural heart of Sri Lanka. Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Kandyan dance performance showcasing vibrant costumes and folklore.

Day 03

Kandy / Mahiyangana
Journey to Mahiyanganaya, where you’ll dive into village life: learn the ancient clay-making process and experience ‘pan’ weaving in a local home. Enjoy a hearty, authentic rice and curry lunch before trekking to two stunning hidden waterfalls — Rathna Ella and Kaluwa Wetuna Ella — nestled in lush surroundings.

Day 04

Mahiyanganaya
Spend a full day at the Dambana Vedda Village. Walk through the jungle guided by Vedda tribespeople, explore mountain caves, and visit traditional Vedda dwellings. As night falls, savor a BBQ dinner around a roaring campfire accompanied by traditional Vedda dances and storytelling under the stars

Day 05

Mahiyanganaya / Gal Oya
Travel to Gal Oya National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the park, followed by an afternoon jeep safari, spotting diverse wildlife in their natural habitat.

Day 06

Gal Oya
Meet the Gal Oya Vedda Village Chief, who will lead a walk through the ancestral jungles. Learn about ancient hunting grounds and listen to folk songs and tales in the native tongue, deepening your connection with this ancient hunter-gatherer culture.

Day 07

Gal Oya / Ella
Start the day with a tranquil morning boat safari in Gal Oya National Park. Later, engage in a hands-on local cooking experience followed by a delicious traditional dinner.

Day 08

Ella / Weligama
Morning hike to Little Adam’s Peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Visit the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, an engineering marvel nestled in lush greenery.

Day 09

Weligama / Departure
Transfer to the airport from Weligama for your onward journey, enriched by the unique cultural and natural discoveries of your Vedda exploration.
